First, I would like to tell you how I got myself into quilting ♥

Here's the Ohio Star lap quilt, the very first quilt I made in 2002.

A friend of mine, Mellie,  who is a seamstress in Turkey, gave me her unwanted scraps. It so happened all the fabric colors coordinated: blue, red, brown and cream. Some of the fabrics I did purchase to finish off the sashing and binding.

I got the block design from a pattern called Ohio Star Flange Pillow from a quilting book titled Quilting for Beginners published by Coats & Clark in 1998. See my little sketch on the left? I had to make one so I can remember my fabric placement.

I will be posting a few more projects in my future posts. Please bear with me as I begin this journey.
